Planning the Name of Our Magazine

Hello!! The previous blogs conclude the general posts and practice activities. The next ones are going to be specifically related to the final magazine project.

After we were done selecting the genre and the theme of our magazine, the first task was to decide on a name. The title (masthead) of the magazine is that one or two word/s that sort of tell the entire story. It promotes and summarizes what the entire magazine is about. Therefore, we wanted a name that would perfectly represent our ideas and thoughts.

Following are the list of names we thought were somewhat suitable:

From the list of names that we thought of, all of us agreed on one; 'Dark Clandestine'.

The word clandestine literally means secret, concealed/hidden. The word dark is used to show evil, wicked, mysterious and the pessimistic approach of the psychics we aim to expose through our magazine. We believe this name perfectly portrays what we're trying to convey to the audience. It shows how these acts a.k.a 'art' have always been conducted with secrecy and never the actual ways have been disclosed by the performers themselves. Such acts we believe do no good to anyone and are nothing but mere manipulation.
