Understanding my role

Working in a team, all of us are responsible for contributing to the project. I, like all of my team members, have certain responsibilities to be fulfilled.

For the Foundation Portfolio, we are supposed to make a magazine. All of the main tasks are supposed to be done individually. Those include the designing, text of the magazine, deciding on the colors etc.

As a group, we will decide the topic/theme of our magazine, do the photography together, design the layout of the cover and the typefaces to be used.

Apart from all the obvious tasks, I do realize that my role is much more than that. Working in a group with people with a perspective different from mine, I need to be very tolerant and patient and consider everybody's opinions and decide on a middle ground. I'll have to compromise many times and many times my other members will compromise. Therefore, this project will be teaching us much more than just media.
